Bantay Kita-PWYP Philippines was formed in 2009 and joined PWYP in 2013. The coalition supports EITI implementation and carries out capacity building to enhance stakeholder participation in the initiative. It has also focused on national legislation, campaigning for important transparency measures to be included in the country’s mining code and for the removal of unfair fiscal incentives for mining companies. Bantay Kita-PWYP Philippines supports its members through capacity building, research and the exchange of experience and information. It also conducts projects at the subnational level, with two transparency initiatives in Compostela Valley and South Cotabato.
